Late Surgeries

Peartree Lane Surgery aims to hold three late surgeries a week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6.30pm until 8pm, however there may be occasions when this is not possible.

We are open every other Saturday at Peartree Lane for pre-booked appointments only from 8am until 11am.

Out of Hours Service

The practice is a member of the Primary Care Out of Hours Service and you will be given the telephone number of this service via our answerphone message if you telephone the surgery during periods when the surgery may be closed. This number is 03000 333333.

The East and North Herts Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) provides the Out of Hours Service and the local centre is based at the Urgent Care Centre at the New QEII hospital.

When you dial the Out of Hours number, your details will be taken by the receptionist and a doctor may call you back or you may be put through to a doctor directly. The doctor may give telephone advice to you, offer a consultation at the New QEII or offer a home visit if this is thought necessary.

NHS 111

Between 6.30pm and 8.00am Monday to Friday and all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays your call will be redirected to the NHS 111 service.

NHS 111 is a free telephone number to call if you urgently need medical help or advice but it’s not a life-threatening situation.

In a medical emergency, please call 999. Chest pain, shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
